The Irish Challenge is for teams of four to ride over 500 miles between Thursday 30th September and Saturday 2nd October 2010. Teams start at the Blarney stone before heading west to the Atlantic coast and the Ring of Kerry, finishing the first day at Killarney. Day two takes teams back to the coastline featured in “Ryan’s Daughter”, across the Shannon and along the 700 ft high Cliffs of Moher, before spending the night in Galway. The final day takes teams south of Lough Derg and down to Dublin.

Countdown to Ireland
The forecast is for rain on Thursday for the Ring of Kerry, westerly gales for Friday as we cycle to Galway and I only hope it stays with us on Saturday to blow us to Dublin. The oil skins are packed, floats attached to the stabalisers and sou'wester dubbined. Ride on the courageous 288 for the 2010 Irish Challenge!
